Nike "Día de Muertos" 2020 Collection

Once again, fans can expect a "Día de Muertos" (Day of the Dead) collection from Nike this year. The Day of the Dead is an annual celebration in Mexico where the citizens honour the dead. The Beaverton-based brand also pays homage to this day with a very special collection consisting of an Air Jordan 1 Mid, Blazer Mid 77, Air Max 90, Daybreak Type, and some apparel.

The four models in the "Día de Muertos" 2020 collection use typical ring flowers and strong colours to hint at the slogan "Para Mi Familia" (For My Family) and other intricate details.

The Air Jordan 1 Mid with its eye-catching colourway and details is probably in the foreground. While the other models have the classic papel picados embellishments, the mid-size Jordan has a simple, three-colour colourway. In addition, the gold inserts have a cracked look, and the mudguard is decorated with "Para Mi Familia".

Next, we have to take a look at the Blazer Mid 77 from the Nike "Día de Muertos" 2020 collection. The sneaker offers a common and clean look with colourful adornments, but there is much more to see than you can imagine. The upper white layer wears off over time and reveals a colourful base.

The Nike "Día de Muertos" 2020 collection is already available in Mexico. Worldwide, the collection will be available on October 15th at Nike and Nike SNKRS.
