Nike Honours the First Dunk in WNBA History with the "Lisa Leslie" Dunk Low
Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, or LeBron James — all these basketball players have already been honoured in several ways. This time, however, Nike is honouring a very special woman from the WNBA. The Nike Dunk Low "Lisa Leslie" is dedicated to Lisa Deshaun Leslie-Lockwood, because the former centre of the Los Angeles Sparks made the first dunk in the history of the WNBA.
The iconic colour combination is made up of "Court Purple/Clear Emerald", while the number "9" adorns the heels. The basketball player, who hails from Compton, California, has worn the number. They are further highlighted in gold.
Other notable details of the Nike Dunk Low "Lisa Leslie" include a premium leather construction. Both the base and the overlays are made of supple leather. A sole unit reminiscent of Air Jordan 1 then follows at the very bottom. The midsole is in white and the outsole in black.
