Twelve years after its original release, the Nike Kobe 8 Protro "What The" returns in summer 2025. This model features an eclectic design that combines elements of various Kobe 8 iterations to create a visually dynamic sneaker. Known for its bold and daring approach, the "What The" series celebrates Kobe Bryant's legacy by mixing a variety of graphics, colours and textures.

The 2025 version retains the unmistakable mismatched design, with the right shoe featuring an Electric Orange base and Volt Swoosh, while the left shoe has a Deep Night base with an Electric Orange Swoosh and oversized 3M reflective "NIKE" branding. Both shoes feature semi-translucent outsoles to complete the unique look.
