Nike SB and Born x Raised Plan a Collection for 2023

The release of the Born x Raised x Nike SB Dunk Low, originally planned for July, was postponed due to the unfortunate death of founder Chris "Spanto" Printup. Now the sneaker is set to launch on 28 September and will probably be available exclusively on the brand's website. The retail price is $130.

Unfortunately, we'll have to wait a little longer to get our hands on the much anticipated Born x Raised x Nike SB Dunk Low. Nike has officially postponed the release after Chris "Spanto" Printup, founder of Los Angeles street fashion brand Born x Raised, died in a tragic car accident. On Instagram, Born x Raised informed their fans of the sad news. Spanto passed away on June 28th at 7.56am local time in Albuquerque, New Mexico. 
 
He only lived to be 42 years old. Our thoughts and sympathies are with his wife Anna, his three children Marilyn, Carter and David, his sister, three brothers, his mother, stepfather and stepmother, his beloved grandparents, his family at Born x Raised, his extended Native American tribe and the many true friends he leaves behind. Unfortunately, there is currently no new release date.

There are new details on the Born x Raised x Nike SB Dunk Low "In Loving Memory". Insiders have revealed the included laces. These show a total of four pairs in blue, pink, as well as a pair of white flat laces and thicker SB laces.

Born x Raised and Nike SB have teamed up to create a fresh new look with the Dunk Low. First images show eye-catching details like crisp white and blue pieces, criss-cross perforations on the toe box, holographic heel panels, and Born SB branding on the tongues.

The thick laces are also a tribute to a Born x Raised loved one, as they feature the words "In Loving Memory". The back of the midsoles feature a 3D block that reads "On the Turf", another signature Born x Raised motto. It's clear that Born x Raised have put a lot of love into the development of this shoe, from the classic design to the heartfelt messages.

We can expect Nike SB to continue unveiling great collaborations next year. We have now received a possible glimpse from insiders. Here are the details.

Nike SB, the sub-label of Nike, is likely to release a collaboration with LA-based label Born x Raised in 2023. No details are known yet, but an apparel collection is rumoured to drop alongside a Dunk Low.
