Nike Sportswear announces special edition Air Force 1 "Houston Comets" to celebrate the historic foursome

The Houston Comets were founded in 1997 and are one of the original eight teams in the WNBA. They won the league's first four championships with the legendary Big Three consisting of Sheryl Swoopes, Cynthia Cooper and Tina Thompson. Under the direction of Coach Van Chancellor, they made history. To celebrate the historic foursome, Nike Sportswear will launch a special edition Nike Air Force 1 "Houston Comets."
 
The heel features the final years of the championship streak, with '97-'98 on the left and '99-'00 on the right. A special logo featuring a hand holding up four fingers appears on both heels.
