Official Images of the Nike Air Max 1 "Puerto Rico" Sneaker

 

June in the USA is all about Puerto Rico! The annual Puerto Rico Day is celebrated along Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, New York City. To celebrate, Nike Sportswear is releasing two Air Max 1 colourways. One comes in a cool "Blue Gale" look and the other in a fresh "Orange Frost" look in homage to the frozen treats from Puerto Rico known as "Piraguas". These sweets come in a variety of flavours including coconut, passion fruit and pineapple.
 
The stylish shoes are made of a combination of textile, leather and suede materials and have details like jewelled swooshes, "Puerto Rico" laces and "Puerto Rico" embroidery on the right heel. The special ice pack labels on the tongue and the special packaging that duly celebrates the annual Puerto Rico Day are also particularly cool. Anyone who loves sneakers and collectibles should not miss these shoes. Elsewhere, the "Orange Frost" has already been released on 6 June, while the "Blue Gale" Nike Air Max 1 will launch on 27 July.
