Streetwear and high fashion have never been as closely linked as they are today. We have renowned sportswear manufacturers like adidas to thank for a large part of this development, having already collaborated with luxurious brands like Prada. Now, the German label with the Three Stripes has announced a new project with Prada's Re-Nylon.
Prada Re-Nylon launched in 2019 and is a breakthrough textile made of plastic waste from the oceans as well as textile fibre waste. The recycled textile can be cleaned after use and recycled again indefinitely without any loss of quality. Through this new partnership, the two labels aim to achieve further sustainability goals and make the world a better place.
What the Prada Re-Nylon x adidas Originals Collection Includes
The Prada Re-Nylon x adidas Originals collection consists of sneakers, apparel, and accessories. The selected footwear includes several adidas Forum silhouettes, which are made of premium materials and come in black and white. The Prada Re-Nylon x adidas Originals collection will drop worldwide on January 13th at Prada shops, prada.com, and adidas.co.uk/prada.

After almost two months, we can finally have a more detailed look at the brand new Prada x adidas Forum Low as close-up shots of the sneaker have surfaced. The shoe is set to be released as part of the Prada Re-Nylon Project in the coming months. Accordingly, we can expect a mix of recycled plastic collected from landfills and oceans.

Prada and adidas have made more plans for the future. And apparently they won't be marching forward as a duo, but also alongside A$AP Rocky. The rapper has shown off a previously undiscovered sneaker on Instagram.
The rapper from Harlem doesn't reveal much. He describes the post with "PRA-DI-DAS" and shows himself in a room with many toys. A$AP Rocky is also wearing a Prada suit and white Prada x adidas Forum Lows.
The sneakers appear to be made of white leather and feature a number of co-brandings. At the very front, the clean shoes are studded with small pockets, while the luxury Italian fashion house is immortalised on the tongues and pockets.
