Scarr's Pizza x Nike Air Force 1 Sold for $121,649
Another chunk of money has just been spent on an old pair of trainers meant only for friends and family. In 2019, Nike teamed up with Scarr's Pizza on NYC's Lower East Side to make a special AF1. A model of it has now been sold on auction platform Sotheby's.
Sneaker don DJ Clark Kent, the founder of Scarr's Pizza, and the restaurant's employee Audie Villot were responsible for the design of the sneaker. It is believed that only 48 pairs were made, all of which were given to friends and family. Now, almost two years later, a pair of Scarr's Pizza x Nike Air Force 1 has just been sold at Sotheby's in size 11.5.
Fans were able to bid on the sneaker from June 24th to July 8th, when it was supposed to sell for just over $12,000. Surprisingly, the sneaker from reseller Paul Givelekian (@pgknows), which is a real NY success story, reached a record price of 121,649 US dollars.
