Samuel Ross of A-COLD-WALL, who is now quite well known in the sneaker scene for his unmistakable Nike Vomero 5, is no doubt fearless in his collaborations. Now, he has taken two Converse classics and completely — almost unrecognizably — reworked them. The result lies somewhere between minimalist and military.
A Cold Wall x Converse Lugged High Release Info
The pack consists of two well-known Converse silhouettes: the ERX 260 and this Chuck Taylor All Star. And Ross has done a great job here, because the one-slim sports shoe is now hardly recognisable. Instead, this Chuck reminds us of a proper winter boat.
Here, the sole melts into a large part of the upper through a uniform, oversized panel. The rest of the upper is made of tear-resistant nylon, giving it a military-style look.
