adidas AE2 "Acid Orange"

TLDR: The adidas Anthony Edwards 2 ‘With Love’ will be released on 4 October and will cost €130. The new signature silhouette combines performance with personal details about Edwards' hometown of Atlanta.

With the ‘With Love,’ Anthony Edwards is launching his second signature silhouette – around two years after the success of the ‘AE 1.’ The debut colourway directly references his roots in Atlanta with a mix of black, peach and red, alluding to Georgia's state fruit.

Visually, the mid-cut sneaker remains true to the AE 1: a rubberised outsole continues to hug the lower part of the upper, providing stability during fast movements. New features include a sharper, cleaner look with neatly placed overlays, an improved shape and a detailed panel structure. Technically, adidas also relies on proven performance elements such as Lightstrike cushioning, a Torsion Propulsion Plate and supportive, fang-like overlays for more lockdown.

Curiously, the current AE 2 was originally planned as the AE 3 – the actual successor to the AE 1 was completely discarded after feedback from Edwards and his team. This explains the long wait and the many AE 1 colourways from last season.

It will be available on 4 October 2025 at adidas.com and at selected adidas basketball retailers. The retail price is €130.

The shoe is available online at adidas and at selected retailers. Additional colourways such as ‘Blue Fusion’ and a black model with neon accents have already been announced for the 2025/26 NBA season.
