adidas Crazy 97 Regal Purple

Nike and Kobe Bryant ended their partnership in April last year, and now it looks like the Herzogenaurach-based brand will be re-releasing his old models. Kobe signed with Nike in 2003, but before playing with the Swoosh, he was part of the big adidas family in 1996. Most notably during his NBA rookie season, the late legend wore the EQT Elevation, now called the Crazy 97 EQT.

The revived adidas Crazy 97 is a high-cut basketball shoe that impresses us with its soft textile lining and robust leather upper. In addition, the sneaker has an extremely thick rubber outsole, which is supposed to provide the necessary precision on the court.

The "Regal Purple" colourway pays homage to the original "Lakers" colourway with which Kobe Bryant won the NBA Dunk Contest. As the name suggests, it is a combination of yellow, purple, white, and black.
