With the Harden Vol. 10, adidas Basketball is launching one of the most futuristic signature silhouettes of the year. Even the first “Supernova” colourway immediately shows that subtlety is not a factor here.
The entire trainer is finished in an extremely eye-catching Hi-Res Yellow, which looks more like a bold slime green. The moulded shell construction runs seamlessly from toe to heel and, together with the wave-like side structures, creates an almost sci-fi-like look.
To ensure the colourway doesn’t go completely over the top, adidas has opted for strong black contrasts on the inside of the shoe. The black bootie construction, tongue and lacing system provide balance and give the aggressive design a bit more structure. Small Lucid Orange details on the outsole and reflective branding elements round off the futuristic look.
As with previous Harden models, the connection to hip-hop and street culture remains clearly visible here too. The slime-green colourway in particular is strongly reminiscent of earlier YSL-inspired Harden releases and underlines Harden’s eye-catching signature style.
