adidas is launching a new generation of running silhouettes with the Hyperboost Edge. The shoe was developed as a so-called ‘super trainer’ – a performance running shoe that is suitable for both daily training runs and longer distances.

The focus is on the new Hyperboost Pro Midsole, a cushioning technology inspired by adidas' elite racing models. The foam ensures particularly soft landings and strong energy return with every step. With a stack height of 45 mm in the heel area and a 6 mm drop, the shoe is designed to create a smooth, forward-moving running experience.

What's interesting is what the Hyperboost Edge deliberately doesn't use: unlike many modern running shoes, adidas has completely dispensed with carbon plates or other stiff stabilising elements. Instead, the model focuses on natural freedom of movement in the running cycle.

Adidas is also breaking new ground with the upper. The PRIMEWEAVE upper ensures a lightweight, breathable feel and a secure fit. The setup is complemented by integrated heel pods that provide additional stability in the heel area.

The new LIGHTTRAXION outsole is used underfoot. It is particularly lightweight, yet offers reliable grip on various road surfaces.

Visually, the striking midsole is particularly eye-catching. For the first time, adidas has placed the Three Stripes directly on the midsole, deliberately drawing attention to the cushioning technology. The shoe will initially be available in the striking ‘Pure Ruby’ colourway with a white upper and bold red overlays.

The adidas Hyperboost Edge ‘Pure Ruby’ is scheduled for release on 17 March 2026.
