adidas Ultra Boost Made To Be Remade

The trend of recyclable clothing and footwear has never been so hot. More and more sports giants are jumping on the bandwagon and making their products from recycled materials to make our world a better place.

Especially in the sneaker sector, more and more silhouettes made of sustainable material have been appearing. But why just use old shoes and not design a new sneaker that is made to be recycled? adidas has designed the Made to Be Remade Ultraboost specifically for this purpose.

It's a sneaker made specifically for multiple lifecycles. Wear the sneaker until you want to discard it, then scan the QR code on the tongue to use the adidas service. After that, adidas will recycle the sneakers for you and use the materials for new designs. Traditionally, the sneakers are made of a very lightweight Primeknit material, and at the bottom, a full-length Boost cushioning gives you the usual adidas Boost power.

In April this year, we already enjoyed the first offshoot of the sustainability initiative, whereby the previous version stood out with a cream-coloured paint job. The latest version, on the other hand, offers a somewhat purer white and features a contrasting black on the outsole. Another interesting change is the altered branding of the sneaker. Instead of the regular adidas logo, the QR code has been placed directly on the shoe tongue, and the print on the insole has also been replaced with a campaign slogan.
