With the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Love Letter”, Jordan Brand is dedicating a sneaker to one of the most personal moments in Michael Jordan’s career. It is inspired by his famous farewell letter from 2003, which Jordan published following his final retirement and ended with the words “Much Love and Respect”.

In keeping with this, the colourway features warm brown and white tones reminiscent of a well-worn basketball. The base is made of white leather, whilst dark suede covers the overlays, the Swoosh and the forefoot. Pebbled leather in various shades of brown on the heel and ankle adds extra depth.

The story continues through numerous details. The “Much Love and Respect” lettering is subtly embossed on the ankle and also appears on the basketball-shaped hangtag. An excerpt from Jordan’s farewell letter can also be read on the inside of the tongue, whilst the special box picks up on the theme with a basketball print.
