TLDR: The Air Jordan 1 Low SE ‘Iced Carmine’ combines classic Jordan DNA with modern vintage and grunge details. Crackled leather, metallic elements and subtle pink accents create a unique look – it releases on 26 May for €140. Jordan Brand continues to experiment with new material combinations and subtle design twists on the Air Jordan 1 Low. The “Iced Carmine” combines clean colour-blocking with slightly grungy details, setting it apart from classic AJ1 releases.
The base is made of light Sail leather, whilst Anthracite overlays provide contrast. Particularly striking are the crackled leather elements on the Swoosh and heel, which give the trainer a slightly worn vintage look. Added to this are eye-catching metal details on the lower eyelets in the form of stars, drops and floral shapes.
The “Iced Carmine” accents on the laces, branding and heel add a splash of colour to the otherwise neutral upper, whilst remaining pleasantly understated. The look is rounded off by a Coconut Milk midsole and a dark outsole, which fit perfectly with the current retro trend.
Technically, the AJ1 Low naturally sticks to the tried-and-tested setup with a encapsulated Air unit in the heel and a sturdy rubber sole for everyday wear.
