TLDR: The Air Jordan 3 “Laser” brings back one of the rarest Jordan concepts of all time. Premium leather, brown suede and intricately laser-engraved graphics tell the story of Michael Jordan’s life and career. It’s set to be released on 22 August 2026 for €230. With the Air Jordan 3 “Laser”, Jordan Brand is reviving a concept that dates back to 2003. Back then, designer Mark Smith created a unique, laser-engraved AJ3 to mark Michael Jordan’s 40th birthday – a genuine one-of-a-kind and, to this day, one of the rarest Jordans ever.
It is precisely this shoe that serves as the inspiration for the new release. The light-coloured premium leather of the upper acts as a canvas for numerous laser-engraved illustrations that reference Jordan’s career, personal interests and key moments in his life. As a result, the trainer almost feels like a wearable archive of his history.
Instead of the classic elephant print, Jordan Brand has opted for coffee-brown suede on the toe box, heel and collar. The warm brown tone also features in the inner lining, adding depth to the otherwise light colourway. A red Jumpman on the tongue provides a small but striking splash of colour.
