With the Air Jordan 3 “True Blue”, Jordan Brand is bringing back one of the most popular original colourways in the entire history of Air Jordan. Almost ten years after the last retro release, this colourway is returning for the first time in a version that is visually even more faithful to the 1988 original.

The design remains true to the legendary original. High-quality white leather forms the base, whilst True Blue provides the signature colour accents on the eyestays, collar, midsole and branding. The look is complemented by Fire Red details and the unmistakable grey Elephant Print on the toe box and heel.

Jordan Brand has placed particular emphasis on the details this time round. The Elephant Print is noticeably finer than on earlier retro releases and is more closely modelled on the original 1988 version. The classic Nike Air branding on the heel also makes a comeback – a detail that many Jordan fans particularly appreciate.

The Air Jordan 3 is still regarded today as one of the most important trainers in history. Tinker Hatfield’s design not only introduced the visible Air element and the iconic Elephant Print, but also played a decisive role in keeping Michael Jordan with Nike in the long term. At the time, the “True Blue” also brought bold shades of blue to the Jordan world for the first time, a world otherwise dominated by red, black and white.
