Jordan Brand is delivering one of the most emotional releases of the year in 2026. The Air Jordan 3 “World’s Best Dad” commemorates Michael Jordan’s fourth NBA title win in 1996 – his first championship following the tragic loss of his father. In particular, the iconic image of MJ on the court floor has been directly incorporated into the sneaker’s design.

The upper is crafted from clean Sail leather with Pale Ivory details and red accents. The highlight of the release, however, is the special overlays on the toe and heel: instead of the classic Elephant Print, Jordan Brand has used a pattern inspired by the carpet in the Bulls’ changing room, where the famous photo was taken after the Finals.

University Red details on the midsole, eyelets and outsole also add classic Chicago vibes. The translucent red outsole is also reminiscent of the Air Jordan 11 ‘Bred’, which MJ wore during the Finals run.

There’s plenty of storytelling in the small details too: on the inside of the tongue is gold “World’s Best” lettering, plus classic Nike Air branding on the heel and even a special Father’s Day card in the packaging.

This release combines sneaker history, basketball culture and personal emotion like hardly any other Jordan drop in recent years.
