Air Jordan 5 Fire Red 2020

The idea of using a fighter plane as a model for a sneaker is simply brilliant. Not only is the Nike Air Max 90 celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, but also the aggressive Air Jordan 5.

Michael Jordan's fifth signature sneaker was even recently modified by legendary designer Virgil Abloh. Back then, the high sneaker took on a dark colour scheme and scored with a yellowed sole and typical off-white features.

Now Jordan Brand has introduced a new AJ that looks back on the first colourway and revives it this year.

The latest Air Jordan 5 reminds us of its original roots. The white side panels and a clean cage equip this retro sneaker from 1990. The accents on the upper include Nike Air lettering on the heels and blazing red hits on the collar. It also has a Jumpman logo coming directly from the OG, while white laces surround the transparent lace lock.

The silver tongue, the red spikes on the black midsole and the translucent outsole form a nice package, while the black insoles with Nike Air branding complete the overall design.
