The new year is almost here, and with the new year comes the unveiling of Nike's new plans for the coming seasons. Reportedly, the sports giant will be focusing on the Air Jordan 5 and dropping it in several women-exclusive colourways.

One of them is this Air Jordan 5 WMNS "Mars for Her". It resembles the AJ5 "Raging Bull" colourway in that a striking red covers the entire suede upper, though the hue is subtly lighter. Other differences include yellowed mesh and fiery hits on the midsoles.

So far, however, we are still eagerly awaiting the explanation for the nickname "Mars for Her". It is believed that the Air Jordan 5 WMNS "Mars for Her" is a reference to Spike Lee's character "Mars Blackmon", who was an important part of the original marketing campaign of the Air Jordan 5.
