TLDR: The legendary Air Jordan 6 ‘Olympic’ celebrates its comeback on 3 August 2024. Originally designed for the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, the design remains true to the original with a combination of white, midnight navy and varsity red. Even though Michael Jordan himself did not wear the Air Jordan 6 at the Olympic Games, the silhouette is deeply rooted in sporting history. The colour variant in the colours of the US flag first appeared in 2000 and was a tribute to Team USA. The 2024 reissue brings back the iconic design in its original form - including the white centre section with navy blue overlays like the original.
While the 2012 version featured a different colour blocking on the midsole, Jordan Brand is now returning to its roots. The upper is made of tumbled leather, while red accents on the Jumpman logos on the tongue and heel provide a contrasting look. The transparent outsole adds a modern touch to the classic design. It has also been confirmed that this time the ‘Olympic’ 6s will be released in full family sizes - a first for this model.
