For his first Made-in-USA trainer with New Balance, Aminé looks back on his time at the Outdoor School in Oregon. As a child, the rapper spent a week there in the great outdoors, learning about plants, animals, water and soil – and it is precisely these memories that form the basis of the design.

The upper combines brown pigskin suede and mesh with glossy overlays in burgundy and dark maroon. Club Banana branding on the tongue, Aminé’s lettering on the heel and coloured details on the sole bring the signature character of his previous New Balance collaborations to the 992.

The extras are particularly impressive: each shoe comes with a ‘Wood Cookie’ tag, matching charms and special packaging styled like a fishing tackle box. Comfort is ensured by the tried-and-tested ABZORB cushioning in the midsole.
