TLDR: ASICS launches the GEL-K1011, a new model inspired by the iconic running silhouettes of the late 90s and early 2000s. Inspired by the GEL-Kayano series and equipped with the advanced GEL-Cumulus 17 cushioning, the sneaker offers a perfect blend of retro design and modern comfort. The first two colourways - white/silver & black/silver - will be available on 21 February 2025 at a price of €160. Following the successful GALLERY DEPT. debut in December 2024, ASICS is now releasing the GEL-K1011 in its first inline colourways. The silhouette combines elements of the GEL-Kayano 5, 7 and 10 with the tooling of the GEL-Cumulus 17, which was launched in 2010.
The multi-layered upper with synthetic overlays and mesh panels provides breathability and structure. Under the sole, the GEL-K1011 offers maximum cushioning thanks to two-layer GEL technology in the heel and forefoot area, combined with FLYTEFOAM and FLYTEFOAM PROPEL foams for optimum energy return.
The first colour variants focus on a simple but striking design:
Black/Pure Silver - a dark, modern version with metallic details
White/Pure Silver - a clear, classic look with a sporty finish
