For the first time, the model was not designed by Toshikazu Kayano himself, but reinterpreted by a new creative team – with a special focus on updated materials and sustainable technologies.
The upper is made of synthetic leather with at least 20% recycled content. The midsole features the original tooling structure, combined with modern GEL technology and the TRUSSTIC support system for improved stability and shock absorption. Two-tone inserts and typical design elements from the Y2K era round off the visual appearance. The insole was produced using a solution-dyed process that significantly reduces both water consumption and CO₂ emissions.
