Product description
TLDR: In the second collaboration between AVAVAV and adidas, two new models will be presented on 22 May 2025: the futuristic Moonrubber Megaride and the newly interpreted Modified Superstar. Both designs combine streetwear with a fashion statement. The models are expected to be priced above the standard level. As always, all further information can be found at Grailify!

After the surreal ‘Superfinger’ debut in November, the Swedish label AVAVAV is following up with adidas Originals - with two eye-catching models that caused a sensation at Fashion Week in Milan. Both shoes symbolise what AVAVAV does best: radical deconstruction and a pinch of ironic self-presentation.
The Moonrubber Megaride is based on the familiar adidas Megaride silhouette, but is completely transformed by an oversized rubber casing. This massive, sculptural construction surrounds the outsole and extends over the toe area. The shoe is available in either all-white or all-black. The breathable mesh upper material is retained, while small hexagonal bounce elements flash through the TPU cover. Whether the rubber overlay can be removed, as with AVAVAV's Superfinger, remains to be seen - but even as a pure art object, the Moonrubbers make quite an impression.
The Modified Superstar remains somewhat closer to streetwear, with its exaggeratedly enlarged shell toe making it look almost like a comic. The classic adidas look remains recognisable, but is deliberately exaggerated, for example with a chunky sole and an oversized design language. Two colourways are planned: a clean all-black and a sporty mix of grey, off-white and red.
