Awake NY x Air Jordan 6 "Blueberry"

For its latest Jordan release, Awake NY founder Angelo Baque draws on his personal relationship with bootleg culture. Traditional luxury was often inaccessible during his early adulthood, while unofficial designs offered a different route into fashion and self-expression. The collaboration translates that tension between imitation and genuine premium quality onto the Air Jordan 6.

Officially named “Midnight Navy”, the “Blueberry” combines Midnight Navy and Light Blue leather with Game Royal nubuck. Textured Saffiano leather overlays reference traditional luxury accessories, while Sail details and contrasting Infrared 23 stitching break up the layered blue palette.

The branding also plays directly into the bootleg-inspired concept. Awake NY’s crowned “A” appears on the side panels, while modified “Nike Awake NY” embroidery replaces the familiar heel treatment. A translucent tongue, lace pockets and traditional toggles preserve key elements of the original Air Jordan 6.

Underfoot, Nike Air cushioning in the heel and forefoot provides familiar comfort. A dark navy midsole with speckled Infrared detailing and translucent sections beneath the foot complete the design.

Following its initial Awake NY release on 23 August, the “Blueberry” receives its wider global launch on 29 August 2026. The trainer is priced at 230€.
