The ‘Pine Valley’ colourway plays with earthy tones reminiscent of the iconic ‘Beef & Broccoli’ look. The upper is made of soft nubuck leather, combined with mesh underlays and a dark green ‘N’ logo. The hiking elements are really eye-catching: open metal eyelets, sturdy laces in blue and red, and reinforced lace stays – giving the sleek sneaker a truly functional look.
Inside, Basketcase focuses on premium comfort: a flannel-lined footbed and a padded collar provide a mix of durability and cosiness – ideal for the colder months. The EVA foam in the midsole ensures a comfortable walking experience, while the black outsole provides good grip.
Zach Kinninger, who founded Basketcase, says the design is a return to its roots. It's nostalgic, close to nature, but also fashionable and in tune with the times. After a few local pop-ups in California and New York, it's finally coming out globally.
