Bodega x Nike Dunk High SP Legend Release News

Since day one, fans and sneakerheads have shown great interest in the collaborative Nike Dunk High SP by Bodega and Nike. But no one could have guessed that two iterations of the powerful duo would be released at once. The shoes feature premium facings made from different materials, unfinished elements, and renewed branding.

Opinions about the sneakers on the net are divided. While one half enjoys western-style sneakers, the other half think about the model as traditional moccasins with modern touches. But Bodega and Nike only revealed the true inspiration much later. Namely, the Bodega x Nike Dunk Highs are baseball-inspired sneakers and a tribute to director Marvin Jason Bynoe, who died on March 28th and was Bodega's role model.

"Marvin was the role model we all aspire to be at Bodega, and in our eyes, it has certified legend status," says Bodega designer Drew White. "This Dunk is for the people in a crew who contribute or have an impact."

The story about hero Marvin Jason Bynoe is told through a baseball-centric lens. Hence, the sneakers also get a glove-like construction with different elements and open seams.

The hairy suede is then reminiscent of an old and used baseball glove and next to it is a Jewel Swoosh accent. The Bodega logo adorns the inner sides of the tongues, while black rawhide laces complete the overall design.
