TLDR: For Chinese New Year 2026, CLOT and adidas Originals present the new CLOT x adidas Qi Flow – a sneaker that combines Eastern design tradition with modern streetwear. It will be released on 31 January 2026 for €140 via adidas, CLOT and selected retailers. As always, more information is available at Grailify. As the Year of the Horse begins, adidas Originals and Edison Chen's label CLOT continue their creative partnership. The new collection combines Chinese cultural heritage with modern silhouette design and is unveiled for the first time in an accompanying anime campaign featuring Chen as the key master – a symbol of new possibilities and cultural openness.
At the heart of the footwear collection is the CLOT x adidas Qi Flow, a completely redesigned sneaker that combines traditional Chinese clothing and espadrilles with current streetwear trends. The upper is made of black, deconstructed textile and does away with classic laces. Instead, diagonal fastenings with knot details and a small artificial pearl provide authentic, Far Eastern-inspired design elements. The flat construction with an espadrille-style sole creates a slim silhouette, in keeping with the ongoing ‘slim sneaker’ trend.
In addition to the Qi Flow, the collection includes other pieces such as the CLOT Superstar Dress Shoe in pony skin look, as well as apparel with kung fu elements, Western tailoring and functional outerwear – including an elaborately crafted jacket with PrimaLoft insulation and satin lining, inspired by classic Chinese down coats.
