Converse Chuck 70 High Beyond Retro Velvet

With its incredibly long history, Converse is one of the most important brands in the sneaker game and has secured its place in the sneaker world forever, especially because of the legendary Chuck 70. Even though the brand has not been as popular as it was in its early days for a long time, its collaborations with renowned partners still attract a lot of attention. Now, the label is teaming up with the British vintage retailer Beyond Retro and directly releasing two joint sneakers with upcycling.

The collaboration between the two partners is all about upcycling materials and giving them new life. As a basis for their project, they have chosen the legendary Chuck 70 in both low and high versions. The upcycling process varies the colour and texture of the velvet, which gives each pair a certain uniqueness.

The velvety upper material of both sneakers is made of cotton and asymmetrically dyed. The outside presents a rich red, while the insides flaunt a deep black. The very durable rubber soles and toe boxes of the two shoes have a light cream finish, making them stand out from the upper.
