The pack from the two partners aims to improve civic education, engagement, and participation of young black people.

To achieve this, the designer of Denim Tears used the Pan-African Flag as a pattern for two popular silhouettes. The Chuck 70 Low and High get the famous colours and details from the flag.

"My favourite All Star is the red, white, and blue," says Emory. "By using red, black, and green, the black eye is directed to this version, creating something just as cool but with more people seeing themselves in it. It's about creating a metaphor for black people playing a role in this country they have built."

The inner and outer sides have the characteristic red and black stripes, and the tongue has the green background with black stars.
