The Nike (SB) Dunk is probably one of the most popular silhouettes in 2021 and has dropped in countless colourways throughout the year. Whether it is a simple colour scheme or an eccentric collaboration, the sneaker gets sold out within seconds in most cases. With many more crazy collabs, the label with the Swoosh wants to draw all the attention to the skateboarding version of the sneaker again in 2022.

Gnarhunters x Nike SB Dunk Low Release Info

Gnarhunters is a skate and surf brand founded by Elissa Steamer and already had the pleasure of collaborating with Nike around three years ago. In 2019, the two partners created a joint Blazer Mid, but this year it's the SB Dunk Low.

This special edition is almost entirely wrapped in a deep black and only uses a few white accents, which are used on the co-branded tongue tags and the rubber outsole, among other things. The heels also have white "GNAR" lettering, providing further colour contrasts.

In terms of materials, the two partners use a mix of terry, padded nylon, and carpet-like fabrics. The laces also come in a bungee style, while the Swooshes can be removed and reattached with the help of a Velcro fastener. The black and yellow insoles also present a tube of "fun screen" and snorkel gear, alluding to the label's ties to surf culture.
