Hyein Seo enters the sneaker scene with her very first Nike collaboration – and with a model that immediately catches the eye: the Nike Ava Rover. As part of Nike's growing relationship with the South Korean fashion world (see Air Max 95 WORKSOUT), this partnership brings not only a new model but also a completely new look for urban sneakerheads.
The Ava Rover's design combines a reactive ReactX midsole with a wild mix of utility elements. Particularly striking is the crater-like outsole with its wave-shaped indentations, reminiscent of Nike ISPA or ACG designs, but with Hyein Seo's own futuristic-dystopian touch. The textile upper is complemented by a textured TPU mudguard, small Swooshes, a perforated tongue and eye-catching Hyein Seo branding on the heel and insole.
The ‘Sequoia/Black/Cargo Khaki’ colour palette screams ‘sci-fi streetwear’ – as if it had been taken from a post-apocalyptic runway.
