Nike and French fashion label Jacquemus are continuing their collaboration and once again delving deep into the brand's archives. The focus is on the Moon Shoe – one of Nike's first running shoes from 1972, known for its iconic waffle sole.

For 2026, the historic runner is getting a modern high-fashion reinterpretation. The upper is made of gathered nylon, which gives the sneaker a soft, almost sculptural look. The construction is complemented by fine leather details and clean suede Swooshes that emphasise the minimalist look.

The silhouette remains deliberately slim and low to preserve the racing character of the original. Underfoot is a classic gum waffle outsole that harks back to Nike's early running experiments. A slightly curved heel and narrow midsole ensure that the sneaker retains its signature moon shoe shape.

Three colourways will be released: ‘Fauna Brown’, ‘Soft Pearl (Sail)’ and ‘Aluminium Pink’. While brown and light sail emphasise the sporty heritage, pink brings a softer, more fashionable touch to the mix.

Branding remains deliberately minimal. Jacquemus logos appear on the tongue, heel and sockliner, while special Blue Ribbon Sports packaging creates a direct link to Nike's early brand heritage.

The Jacquemus x Nike Moon Shoe release is scheduled for 16 March 2026.
