Jacquemus x Nike Moon Shoe "University Red"

TLDR: The Nike x Jacquemus Moon Shoe brings back Bill Bowerman's legendary waffle sole design, reinterpreted by French designer Simon Porte Jacquemus. The fashion runner will be released on 6 October 2025 in three colourways for €180. The exclusive ‘Alabaster’ colourway will be available from 29 September – but only at Jacquemus.

The Moon Shoe is one of the most iconic designs in Nike's history. It was originally developed in 1972 for the US Olympic trials. Now the shoe is back in a modern version – in collaboration with French label Jacquemus. The designers around Simon Porte Jacquemus not only honour Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman, but also present a stylistically radical reinterpretation of a functional classic.

The newly released Jacquemus x Nike Moon Shoe draws on an elegant yet progressive design. The silhouette combines a slightly ruffled nylon upper with a Nike Grind outsole reminiscent of the original waffle pattern. Leather details on the heel and Swoosh, as well as subtle Jacquemus logos on the tongue, insole and heel, complement the minimalist look.
The design is based on the running DNA of the original, but also brings an almost sculptural elegance to the table with its flat shape, rough textile structure and co-branded packaging. 

The exclusive ‘Alabaster’ version will be released on Sunday, 29 September 2025, and will be available exclusively at jacquemus.com.
The two other colourways (‘Off Noir’ and ‘University Red’) will follow on Monday, 6 October 2025, via Nike SNKRS and at selected Nike retailers worldwide.
