MSCHF x Reebok Pump Omni Zone IX "Sunbleached"

The fashion collective MSCHF is known for taking the sneaker scene for a ride and polarising it with their absolutely crazy creations. Whether it's the devil-inspired Nike Air Max 97 with real blood or the now universally known Big Red Boots, the guys and gals from MSCHF definitely know how to attract attention. Now, for the first time ever, the label is officially teaming up with a major sneaker manufacturer and releasing two crazy Pump Omni Zones in collaboration with Reebok, which ridicules the original shoe and its technology. 

"The Pump" is a legendary technology from Reebok that allows the wearer to manually inflate their sneakers and thus adapt them to their needs. The integrated air chambers then enclose the foot as tightly as necessary and thus provide significantly more stability when worn. MSCHF's new creation takes this idea to a whole new level and equips the entire upper with numerous buttons for inflation, each of which is responsible for a different area. They also present a mix of "The Pump" and "The MSCHF" brandings. To make the whole thing even more ridiculous, both colourways feature "BoingBoing" lettering on the heel. This is what the artist collective calls their brand new "technology". 

The "Sunbleached" has a white and beige leather base, which is contrasted by individual light blue accents on the soles, the collar, the lining and the side elements. A bright orange is also added to the mix and can be found on the pump elements, parts of the sole and on the laces. This version also features light grey suede mudguards. 

The two MSCHF x Reebok Pump Omni Zone IX will be released on 27 September on MSCHF.com for a price of €250 each at 8pm. Whether the sneakers will also drop at Reebok itself is still unclear. To make sure you don't miss the drop, download our free Grailify app.
