TLDR: The New Balance 1000 ‘Timberwolf’ was released on 4 May for €170. This reissue brings back a futuristic Y2K design featuring ABZORB cushioning, a striking sole and technical details. As always, you can find all the updates on Grailify. The New Balance 1000 “Timberwolf” marks the return of a true archive highlight from 1999. The sneaker takes up the futuristic Y2K look and reinterprets it with a modern twist: instead of classic layered structures, the focus here is on synthetic underlays that emerge from beneath striking overlays, lending the design a technical, almost industrial vibe.
The upper consists of mesh with synthetic elements, complemented by reflective details and a rubberised “N” logo with a transparent outline. The strikingly segmented sole not only makes a visual statement but also delivers on functionality.
For comfort, New Balance relies on a combination of a polyurethane midsole and ABZORB cushioning in the heel and forefoot areas. In addition, Stability-Web technology in the midfoot provides greater stability and support for everyday wear.
