The New Balance 991v2 Made in UK ‘Karanda Red’ is the more eye-catching half of the new ‘Vintage Sport’ pack. This modern take on the classic running shoe combines rich red and burgundy tones with cream-coloured details and a slightly distressed finish.

The upper is crafted from bright red premium suede, dark mesh and synthetic nubuck overlays. ‘Karanda Red’ and ‘Cordovan’ create a deep, multi-layered look, whilst grey ‘Harbour Mist’ accents on the toe box, tongue and heel provide contrast. Off-white laces and a two-tone cream-white outsole reinforce the vintage character.

A yellowish-tinted, semi-transparent CR element wraps around the heel area, giving the appearance of naturally aged plastic. This is complemented by reflective ‘N’ logos with embossed lines, blue ‘991’ branding on the heel and embroidered ‘v2’ lettering on the tongue.

Beneath the retro look lies the modern cushioning of the 991v2. A full-length FuelCell midsole ensures a soft and responsive ride. The ENCAP construction combines foam with a stable polyurethane rim, whilst semi-transparent ABZORB SBS pods in the heel area absorb additional impact.
