In short: the New Balance 992 ‘Dark Ice Wine’ brings rich autumn colours to an iconic retro runner design. The ‘Made in USA’ model will be released on 11 December 2025 for €230 and combines premium suede with proven comfort. As always, find out more at Grailify. The New Balance 992 is back and comes in a stylish new colourway: ‘Dark Ice Wine’. In Creative Director Teddy Santis' ‘Made in USA’ series, this version is the next in line after ‘Sweet Caramel’ and ‘Marsh Green’. This time, the focus is on deep red and purple tones.
The upper is made of high-quality pigskin suede in ‘Dark Ice Wine’, combined with black mesh and light purple leather inserts. Orange details on the ‘N’ logo and the 992 lettering add a touch of contrast. Classic ABZORB and ENCAP cushioning ensures first-class comfort, and the cream, grey and black tones on the midsole add cool accents.
In terms of design history, the model remains true to its line: the 992 was introduced in 2006 to mark New Balance's 100th anniversary and has become an icon, at least since the Steve Jobs hype. The model has been available again in the USA since 2020. It has been reissued and there have been collaborations with JJJJound, WTAPS & Co.
