With the upcoming Made in USA collection led by Teddy Santis, New Balance is once again focusing on high-quality essentials rather than loud experiments. The 992 ‘Olivine’ fits perfectly into this line, remaining visually understated yet extremely well thought-out.

The upper is made of grey mesh and high-quality suede, which emphasises the premium quality of the model. A slightly hairy suede back tab and a beige leather overlay on the tongue add extra depth. Beige details can also be found on the edge of the N logo and on the ‘992’ and ‘USA’ windows. The eponymous Olivine tone is subtly visible on the TPU heel clip and ABZORB SBS pods, while a gum outsole rounds off the design.

Technically, the 992 remains true to its DNA: ABZORB cushioning ensures reliable comfort for everyday wear, while the robust Made in USA construction stands for durability and stability. A classic dad shoe look, modernised through the choice of materials and subtle colour nuances.
