TLDR: The New Balance ABZORB 2000 will be released on 14 January 2026 in the new colourways ‘Black Metallic’ and ‘Silver Metallic’, both inspired by the ‘Liquid Metal’ look of the 2000s. The futuristic sneaker is priced at €200. As always, you can find all the release information at Grailify. With the ‘Liquid Metal’ editions, New Balance takes the ABZORB 2000 to a new level of design. Instead of the previous curved lines, the redesigned upper now features angular, tribal-inspired TPU elements and a full mesh base. With this, New Balance clearly revisits the Y2K aesthetic with a futuristic twist. Particularly striking is the New Balance ‘N’ logo, which appears in a pointed, graphic style, seamlessly blending in with the new look.
The ABZORB 2000 also remains strong in terms of technology: the combination of ABZORB and ABZORB SBS cushioning, together with a segmented sole with Stability Web, ensures comfort and stability. Details such as moulded midfoot elements and printed overlays round off the progressive design.
The colourways: ‘Black Metallic’ (U200078C): completely in black with a shiny finish that highlights the structure of the new upper.
‘Silver Metallic’ (U20005UW): same construction in reflective silver with maximum retro-future vibe.
