TLDR: The New Balance BB Hesi Low v2 ‘Black/Crimson’ will be released on 8 October 2025 for £120 and, with its lightweight construction and responsive setup, is aimed specifically at agile guards. Thanks to its numerous performance features, it is one of the best budget basketball shoes of the season. As always, further information is available at Grailify. With the Hesi Low v2, New Balance is launching an update for fast, agile players that is designed to provide maximum responsiveness on the court. The focus is on the full-length FuelCell midsole, which remains lightweight despite its high cushioning. It is complemented by a newly designed outsole with a traction pattern that radiates from the ball of the foot.
A TPU heel clip, a nylon shaft in the midfoot area and rounded outsole edges provide additional stability and enable smooth rolling during sideways movements.
The upper is made of lightweight, breathable mesh and is complemented by synthetic overlays. The ‘Black/Crimson’ colourway features a dark base of black and grey, refreshed by maroon accents on the tongue, logo and midsole, as well as silver details in the heel area.
Particularly exciting: NBA top pick Cooper Flagg is expected to wear the Hesi Low v2 as his first performance sneaker on the court. PE editions could therefore follow.
