Here's the short version: The NIGO x Nike Air Force 3 ‘Kintsugi’ will be released on 20 November 2025 and will cost €160. The idea behind it: Kintsugi, the Japanese art of repair. Leather combined with golden details and asymmetrical colours – this is a sneaker that exudes artistry. It will be available at Human Made and Dover Street Market from 15 November. Japanese designer Nigo, who founded the BAPE and Human Made brands, is now bringing his aesthetic to the Nike Air Force 3 – a model that has tended to be overshadowed until now. With the ‘Kintsugi Pack’, he gives the sneaker a really cool design concept based on the Japanese craft of the same name: repairing broken ceramics with gold lacquer, creating something new and beautiful.
The two colour variations consistently play on the theme of asymmetrical colour distribution and textured leather overlays. One variant combines phantom white with beige, the other features dark grey with golden accents. The golden embossing emphasises the ‘break lines’ and gives the look a truly elegant touch. The split midsole, antique-treated midsole elements and gum outsole complete the vintage look.
The project is rounded off with a few additional details. These include a satin lining, Kintsugi-inspired packaging, co-branded insoles and split heel branding.
