Nike Air Force 1 ’01 "Cracked Leather Black"

With the Air Force 1 ’01, Nike is bringing back a shape favoured by collectors of early-2000s footwear. Compared with modern versions, the silhouette features a lower toe and a leaner side profile. The Nike Air Force 1 ’01 “Cracked Leather Black” reinforces that archival character through its deliberately aged materials.

Black patent leather covers the mudguard, eyestays, Swooshes and heel. Its glossy surface features an irregular cracked pattern, making the sneaker look as though it has spent more than two decades inside its original box. However, this is not a scratch-away layer designed to disappear with wear.

White leather forms the perforated toe box and side panels. The tongue, laces and midsole also remain white, allowing the black patent leather to stand out. Black Nike Air branding on the midsole and a matching rubber outsole complete the colourway.

Despite the modified shape, the familiar Air Force 1 elements remain intact. A padded collar, sturdy cupsole and integrated Nike Air cushioning preserve the traditional feel of the basketball and streetwear icon.

The Nike Air Force 1 ’01 “Cracked Leather Black” is currently expected to arrive in September 2026. A retail price of 140€ has been reported, although Nike has yet to confirm an exact launch date or European pricing.
