Nike Air Force 1 ’01 "Cracked Leather Menta"

With the Air Force 1 ’01, Nike is reviving a silhouette from the early 2000s. Its shape features a lower toe and leaner side profile than many contemporary versions of the classic. The “Cracked Leather Menta” combines this archive-inspired construction with a material designed to resemble aged patent leather.

The Menta shade covers the mudguard, eyestays, Swooshes and heel. Its glossy finish allows the colour to shift visually between mint green and a darker teal. An irregular cracked pattern creates the appearance of a deadstock sneaker that has spent more than two decades inside its original box.

White leather forms the perforated toe box and side panels, whilst the tongue, laces and midsole also remain white. A Menta-coloured rubber outsole and matching Nike Air branding on the midsole repeat the shade used across the overlays.

The cracked finish is not a scratch-away layer designed to peel off with wear. Beneath the experimental upper, familiar AF1 elements remain in place, including the padded collar, sturdy cupsole and integrated Nike Air cushioning.

The Nike Air Force 1 ’01 “Cracked Leather Menta” is currently expected to arrive in September 2026. Several release calendars suggest a price of 140€, although Nike has yet to confirm an exact launch date or European retail price.
