TLDR: The Nike Air Force 1 Low ‘On Tour’ celebrates global sneaker culture with colourful city-inspired stitching on the classic AF1. From Paris to Seoul, this release blends global streetwear influences with the clean Air Force design. Nike is officially sending the Air Force 1 on a world tour. With the new “On Tour” pack, the classic model pays special tribute to the cities and communities that have shaped the AF1 over the decades.
The upper is crafted from classic tumbled leather and comes in either clean white or all-black. The highlight of the trainers is the numerous colourful embroideries of various cities such as Paris, Seoul, Shanghai, Mexico City, Amsterdam and Lima, which are scattered across the entire upper. Even Beaverton — the home of Nike — gets its own spot on the shoe.
The different fonts and colours create an almost scrapbook-like look without overloading the iconic AF1 design. Additional “On Tour Since ’82” details on the insoles and blue Nike Air branding on the tongue round off the concept.
The release demonstrates once again just how firmly the Air Force 1 is rooted in a wide variety of sneaker and streetwear scenes worldwide. Rather than performance, the focus here is clearly on the global culture behind the model.
