The Nike Air Force 1 Low ‘Black Patent’ gives the iconic Uptown a modern finish without altering its DNA. The focus is clearly on material contrast and shine.

The trainer features a black upper comprising a combination of matt leather and glossy patent overlays. Whilst the toebox, side panels and collar have a rather understated look, the mudguard, Swoosh and heel bring an eye-catching dynamism to the design thanks to the patent finish.

The colourway really comes into its own in the light: the matt versus glossy contrast creates depth without the need for bold colours. This gives the shoe an overall cleaner, almost ‘dressy’ look, whilst remaining suitable for everyday wear.

A small highlight is the chrome-coloured lace dubrae in the shape of a mini Swoosh, which subtly breaks up the otherwise very minimalist look. Otherwise, the branding remains tonal, whilst the classic AF1 sole with Air cushioning ensures the usual comfort.
