TLDR: The Nike Air Force 1 Low ‘Photon Dust’ will be released on 20 June for €130 and features mesh tape details and a modern combination of materials that reinterprets the classic. In summer 2025, Nike will launch the Air Force 1 Low ‘Photon Dust,’ a bold variation on its iconic classic. It remains true to its 1980s heritage as a basketball shoe, but at the same time features a modern design with new materials and details.
The upper is mainly made of classic smooth leather, but has been given a technical update: mesh inserts on the quarter panels and synthetic overlays provide more structure and a modern look. Two sewn-on tape stripes running vertically across the heel and horizontally across the side panel are particularly striking. A ballistic Swoosh, TPU eyelets and a mix of textile and synthetic leather materials round off the upgrade.
The ‘Photon Dust/Black/University Blue/White’ colourway combines a soft grey with bright accents in plain blue and black. A second colourway in white/mid navy/flash has also been announced.
Despite the new details, the sneaker remains true to the original in terms of technology and style: a stitched cup sole with Nike Air cushioning ensures comfort, while the low profile, clean silhouette and indestructible rubber sole perfectly capture the legacy look.
