In spring 2026, Nike will launch a new, material-focused version of the Air Force 1 Low that combines camo aesthetics with modern craft elements. Depending on the name, the release will be called ‘Wheatgrass,’ “Asparagus” or simply ‘Camo’ – but at its core, the look is the same: earthy, textured and detailed.

The upper is made of canvas with a muted wheatgrass camouflage print that focuses on natural brown and olive tones rather than harsh contrasts. This means the pattern is not loud, but blends harmoniously into the overall look. The whole look is complemented by green nubuck overlays on the eyestays and heel, as well as white and off-white suede Swooshes, which create a soft contrast.

The thick, fuzzy laces in asparagus green are particularly striking. They give the sneaker a slightly playful, almost artisanal touch and are reminiscent of earlier textile experiments such as the ‘Boucle’ AF1. Added to this are fine details such as a slightly frayed tongue edge, embossed Nike Air branding on the heel and a high-quality leather sockliner on the inside.
